Infection Control
Through our cold-diffusing technique, essential oils with antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties are diffused into the ambient air, minimizing airborne diseases and cross-infections.
These properties were discovered by Doctor Jean Valnet and Doctor Maurice Gatefossé in the 1930's and have since been extensively scientifically researched as published in numerous Medical Publications.

Fight against Sick Building Syndrome (SBS)
Cold-diffused essential oils enrich the air with negative ions in a natural way. In areas where there are many people, limited ventilation, fresh air or electrical equipment is present, many negative ions in the air are lost.
The lack of these negative ions is regarded as a major cause of SBS (Sick Building Syndrome), causing a variety of health problems such as headaches, throat, nose and eye irritations, reduced concentration and fatigue. SBS reduces productivity, increases absenteeism and contributes to higher levels of discontentment. The use of CTEO's revitalizes the environment and reduces the symptoms associated with SBS.

Odour management
Many environments are affected by bad odours, as is the case in hospitals, mature lifestyle centres, public transport and offices (bad ventilation, congested environment). Through the use of our Healthy Environment Concept we are able to deodorise and replace these typical odours with the pleasant fragrance of 100% natural scents of plants.
The aerosol produced by the OMC systems, is composed of thousands of small droplets of essential oil. The negatively charged essential oil droplet attracts the positively charged odour molecules and transports it to the centre of the droplet. Ultimately, this drop is saturated, becomes heavy and falls to the ground. In this way, the bad odours are neutralized and only the pleasant fragrance of the essential oils remains.
An attractive odour contributes to a more enjoyable stay for employees and visitors.
Stress management
Stress situations, irritability and irritations (mutual) are reduced by atomizing the right combination of essential oils. Situations such as concentration loss, reduced alertness or fatigue are transformed to an energetic, friendly environment. This emotional uplifted atmosphere increases the feeling of well-being & pleasure. Aromatized locations are favoured if compared to non-aromatized rooms.
Research shows, provided that the appropriate scents are applied, that:
- people are more responsive and accessible;
- the sentimental behaviour of people is positively affected and it inspires confidence;
- the emotional aspect of the environment is experienced as more positive;
- the essential oils improve alertness, visual and physical impressions;
- people remain longer in the space and feel at ease.
This results in the fact that the time people are resident in the aromatized space is 15.9% longer than in a non-aromatized space.
(This research is conducted by Dr. Stohr of the University of Paderborn.)
